GCC001 – CHANGE!

CHANGE!

CHANGE! Change your thinking. Change your direction. The leadership of the one true God is available to you.

The first words out of Jesus’ mouth as he started on the public phase of his mission was – “Repent”. Not a word we hear too often today is it? So, what’s he getting at? He’s calling forth change. The greek word for repent literally means to ‘change your mind’, the hebrews, being a more earthed culture, used a word that meant ‘turn around’. Combine those two and you have a pretty good definition of what Jesus was announcing. Jesus came to change lives, by opening up and heralding the fact that God’s leadership, his rule and his reign, is now available.

The verse these meditations are taken from is Matthew 4:17, and it kicks off the GCC series, introduced here.  If you think there is a better way of saying it, please do comment.
